Is Whirlpool Load & Go using detergent too quickly?

On a washer fitted with Load & Go, match the concentration setting to the detergent label. The setting describes the detergent you are using; it is not simply a preference for more or less soap. Controls differ between models.

• Use only the liquid HE detergent specified for the bulk dispenser.
• Do not add a single dose while automatic dispensing is active.
• If excessive suds or poor rinsing continue with the correct detergent and settings, request help. Stop the cycle and ask for assistance if the washer leaks.

What if Whirlpool Load & Go is not dispensing?

Check whether automatic dispensing is enabled before assuming the dispenser has failed. On applicable top-load models, Whirlpool identifies a disabled Load & Go setting and dispenser residue as owner checks.

• Confirm the selected dispenser is enabled using your model's instructions.
• Clean only the owner-accessible drawer as the manual directs. Do not open the washer cabinet or disconnect supply lines.
• If dispensing still does not work after the setting and routine-care checks, send ABC a photo of the drawer, detergent label and controls.

Why is a Whirlpool dryer tumbling but leaving laundry damp?

A turning Whirlpool dryer drum does not prove that a heated cycle is running. An air-only selection tumbles without drying heat; lint buildup and a tightly packed or mixed-fabric load can also lengthen drying. Check the selected cycle and fabric-care label, clean the lint screen as your manual directs, and notice whether clothes finish warm and damp or completely cool.

If comparable loads suddenly need extra cycles on the same heated setting, that change deserves attention. On a vented model, an exterior hood that does not open during operation is useful information, but it does not identify the failed part. Do not pull the dryer out or disconnect ducting, gas or wiring to investigate. Stop for a burning smell or overheating. Ask ABC to assess persistent poor drying, with the model number and cycle result ready.

Has a Whirlpool freezer stopped cooling after a power outage?

Check whether the Whirlpool freezer's cooling control is actually on. Whirlpool notes that some models need to be switched on again after an outage or surge. A restored household supply does not necessarily mean cooling has resumed. Use the normal control instructions for the exact model, rather than repeatedly unplugging it.

After an allowed setting change, Whirlpool's freezer guidance calls for a full day before reassessing the temperature. That settling period is not a reason to leave food in a warming freezer: move it to reliable cold storage when needed. Note whether the lid seals, whether the control responds and whether cooling returns. Persistent warmth, heavy frost or a control that will not respond needs assessment. Tell ABC whether this is a chest freezer, upright or refrigerator-freezer so the correct instructions can be checked.
